Ashurst Reach is an integral part of the firm's NewLaw division, Ashurst Advance. Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.

**The Opportunity**:

- 2 months (with possibility of extension)
- Full time (hybrid)

- This is an opportunity to join and build your legal portfolio in a well-known educational institution

**Skills and Experience needed**:

- Privacy (and privacy laws) and IT procurement experience
- Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements ie. consultancy, agency, intellectual property, IT services, confidentiality, distribution and licensing agreements
- Experience in advising and assisting on a range of legal matters including intellectual property ownership, licensing, commercialisation and management, data protection, personnel issues, liabilities and other usual contracting issues
- Experience in advising on statutory interpretation, including proactively identifying emerging relevant legal issues such as changes to applicable legislation
- Ability to assist with governance, audit and risk-related matters and liaise with the institution on a wide range of matters
- In-house experience
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise
- Ability to be a self-starter and confident being on the tools
- 8+ years' experience
- The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
- A current practising certificate
