Are you someone who leads with empathy, patience, and a true heart for care?
My Disability Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable **female support worker** to join our team in providing high-quality, 24/7 support for a wonderful woman in her 40s living with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She is non-verbal and occasionally uses gentle self-soothing behaviors, including mild self-injury, to regulate her emotions. While this might seem concerning at first, you’ll find with the right support and understanding, it’s far more manageable than it appears.

About the Role:

- **Position**: Casual Support Worker
- **Type**: Casual
- **Location**: Keperra (In-person role)
- **Pay Rate**: $33.28 per hour (plus applicable penalty rates)
- **Roster**: Rotating shifts across a 24/7 schedule

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference, offering a blend of personal care, daily living assistance, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Emotional Support**: Being a calming, reassuring presence during moments of anxiety or self-soothing behaviors.
- **Personal Care**: Assistance with hygiene, toileting, dressing, and showering with dignity and respect.
- **Meal Preparation**: Helping with daily meal planning and preparation to promote a balanced diet.
- **Home Support**: Maintaining a clean, organized, and supportive living environment.
- **Behavioral Awareness**: Reading non-verbal cues and responding sensitively to needs.
- **Guardian Communication**: Working professionally with a highly involved guardian who values consistent, high-quality care.

What We’re Looking For:

- **Experience**: Prior experience with personal care or community support is a plus — but if you’re eager to learn, we’re happy to train the right person
- **Personal Qualities**:

- Patient, calm, and intuitive
- Strong observational skills
- Emotionally resilient and adaptable
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistency
- **Mandatory Requirements**:

- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement available)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of NDIS Orientation Module
- Current First Aid and CPR (preferred but not mandatory)
- **Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
