**Coordinator | Out of Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH) | Rydalmere**
This Service is on the traditional land of the Darug people. It is important, as Educators, Coordinators and OSHC professionals, to learn about the traditional land where your Service stands. Sharing your knowledge about Aboriginal customs and way of life with the children, is a great tool to connect them to their surroundings and the history of the land that holds their Service.

This is your time to lead a team of educators at a beloved OSHC Service This Service consisting of long-standing permanent staff members is looking for a leader who can join them in shaping the children’s before and after school time into memorable moments. You will have the chance to shape this relatively newly acquired Service into an amazing space for children and families to come together and enjoy

Knowledge, experience, and maturity is needed from you in this role, as the team is extremely committed to making the Service the best it can be, but they need your help. You will ideally have managerial experience and be great at managing relationships, a positive attitude, and confidence to form relationships with families.

**Outline of the role**:

- OSHC/OOSH Coordinator.
- Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.
- Mix of split and block shifts.
- Above Award Pay | $79K - $89K + super
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service.
- Spend some time on the floor engaging with the children and mentoring the educators.
- Develop and increase the knowledge of the current staff at the service through training and mentoring.
- Be surrounded by a team of passionate and lively educators who create an environment that nurtures children’s development and learning.
- Engage with parents and stakeholders, and create and maintain lasting and meaningful relationships.

**A little more about this Service**:

- The Service is both in its own space and a shared space within the school.
- It is split into two sites (one site being a dedicated OSHC space within the school and the other site being the parish hall across the road, that is shared).
- Outdoor spaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and indoor environments are available for use.
- The current team of 5 (2 Assistant Coordinators, and 3 permanent educators), along with a handful of consistent casual educators are excited to welcome a new Coordinator to the Service.
- The educators are knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and mature. They all contribute to programming and planning.
- Licensed for 100 children.
- The service maintains a tight relationship with the school and is seen as an extension

**Getting to know you**:

- **Required: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Diploma, or extensive and proven experience in a similar role at a similar sized service.**:

- **Required**: You possess a valid and current **HLTAID004 or HLTAID012**:

- ‘Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- **Required**: You possess current **CHCPRT001**:

- ‘Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
- Criminal History Check.
- **Required**: Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.
- **Required**: Ability to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status.
- You have high emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to adapt to suit different stakeholders, e.g., school, parents, families, and community members.
- You have demonstrated experience leading a team of educators.
- You possess the ability to mentor educators.
- Poyou possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, My Time Our Place, and the National Laws and Regulations.
- You are willing to continually improve the service, and bring your knowledge and experience to A&R.
