**Assistant Coordinator | Out of Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH) | Rydalmere**

This Service is located on the traditional land of the Darug people. It is important, as Educators, Coordinators and OSHC professionals, to learn about the traditional land where your Service stands. Sharing your knowledge about Aboriginal customs and way of life with the children and families is a great tool to connect them to their surroundings and the history of the land that holds their Service.

This is your time to lead a team of educators at a beloved OSHC Service Step up into this 2IC role to progress your career in OSHC. This Service is looking for a friendly and passionate leader who can join the long-standing team of educators and Coordinator in shaping the children’s before and after school time into memorable moments. You will have the chance to make this relatively newly acquired Service your own and help it grow into an amazing space for children and families to come together and enjoy

**About this role**:

- OSHC/OOSH Assistant Coordinator.
- Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Split shifts (with split shift allowances).
- Above award pay **$65K - $69K** + Super + Allowances **($76k - $80K Salary Package)**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service as Responsible Person.
- Supported by Coordinator and Area Manager.
- Second Assistant Coordinator in place at the service They will be your support person and will allow you to collaborate.
- Spend time on the floor engaging with the children and mentoring the educators.
- Develop and increase the knowledge of the current staff at the service through training and mentoring.
- Engage with parents and stakeholders, and create and maintain lasting and meaningful relationships.

- The Service has its own space and a shared space within the school. It is split into two sites (one site being a dedicated OSHC space within the school and the other site being the parish hall across the road, that is shared).

- Outdoor spaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and indoor environments are available for use.
- The current team of 5, along with a handful of consistent casual educators are excited to welcome a new Assistant Coordinator to the Service.
- The educators are knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and mature. They all contribute to programming and planning.
- Licensed for 100 children.

**About you**:

- **Preferred**:You possess a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Diploma, or have extensive and proven experience in a similar role at a similar sized service.
- **Required**:You possess a valid and current **HLTAID004 or HLTAID012**:

- ‘Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- **Required**:You possess a current **CHCPRT001**:

- ‘Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain).
- Criminal History Check.
- **Required**:You possess a **valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.**:

- **Required**:You possess the ability to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status.
- You have high emotional intelligence and communication skills that allow you to adapt to suit different stakeholders, e.g., school, parents, families, and community members.
- You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, My Time Our Place, and the National Laws and Regulations.
- You are willing to continually improve the service, and bring your knowledge and experience to A&R.
