While extensive experience isn’t necessary—our centre is well-established and stable—we do want someone with some leadership experience and a desire to grow. Ideally, you're someone with ambitions to step into a Centre Director role in the future. You'll bring fresh perspectives, be open to new ways of working, and, most importantly, share Kim’s deep passion for children and education.
You will also be allocated 2 hours of non-contact time for planning each week.

**Your Key Responsibilities**:
- Act as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) to support and collaborate with the Centre Director in the day-to-day running of the centre.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to educators, promoting professional growth and excellence in teaching practices.
- Lead and support room teams as a Team Leader, fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Float across various rooms to offer leadership, drive consistency, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Engage in non-contact time to focus on centre management tasks, including rostering, team development, and compliance.
- Assist with performance management and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Be a go-to resource and support for both the Centre Director and the entire team.
**About You**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Passionate about mentoring, guiding, and inspiring educators to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a supportive and approachable leadership style.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Centre Director to meet goals and ensure the highest standards of care.
**What we're looking for**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early learning setting
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and compliance requirements
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on building strong teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, families, and children
- A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality educational outcomes

- Standard Edge Rate for classification (4% above Award) = **see below for rates**:
- Up to 3% Edge Standard rate (AM approval required) = approved amount $
- More than 3% over Edge Standard rate (COO approval required) = approved amount $- You will need to provide a reason as to why we are offering a wage above the Standard Edge Rate:

- Doesn’t have to be overly experienced as it’s a stable centre- But has some leadership experience
- Ideally someone who is wanting to progress in the next few years to CD level
- High Energy and Fun and have a good laugh
- Positive attitude and open to seeing the centre through a new lens.
