A large government organisation is on the lookout for a mid level Cyber Security Advisor for a 6 month contract based from their head office in the Sydney CBD. The purpose for the role is to be responsible for progressing cyber security awareness, governance and/or training initiatives for Cyber Security NSW to improve whole-of-government (WoG) cyber security capability. The role is guaranteed to extend long term and will pay up to $800 + super.

**Experience Required**:

- Develop and assess cyber security policies, standards, reporting protocols, ICT contracts, risk assessments and/or the design and delivery of cyber security training to improve cyber security capability and awareness
- Undertake investigations and risk assessments to provide comprehensive, evidence-based advice and recommendations including reports, submissions, briefing notes, file notes and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and relevance of data collated to enable required action to be taken.
- Support organisational and Government policy and initiatives, through the provision of cyber security related advice, information and/or training to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of cyber security
- Ensure designs comply with Information security policy and standards.
- Development and continuous improvement of the security architecture capability.
- Contribute to the development of the cyber security strategy and the cyber security roadmap.

**Experience Required**:

- Proven experience in a Cyber Security Advisory position in a large complex organisation.
- Ability to develop cyber security strategy/ policies / standards / guidelines
- Strong experience with the coordination of risk assessments and the facilitation of penetration tests
