**About the position**:
We are seeking a Merchandise Planner to develop effective merchandise strategies for Scanlan Theodore. This position is responsible for creating financial plans that assist in the brands spending and profit. Day to day duties include:

- Manage and develop department open to buy (OTB) budgets across all categories and assortment plans in line with the overall planning strategy
- Be heavily involved in the product ranging process, driving and analysing sales and product performance
- Participate and plan accordingly for product range reviews, category plans, store grading, allocations and replenishment
- In-season & post-season analysis and reporting
- Analyse and monitor key value lines (KVL)
- Working collaboratively with USA Merch team, to determine and manage OTB plans
- Perform size curve analysis
- Markdown recommendations & analysis
- Monitor initial allocations and replenishments to ensure effective stock positioning
- Manage David Jones stock holding strategy
- Support visual merchandising team to ensure best product is pushed through visual merchandising strategies
- Assist Digital & Brand teams to ensure best product is featured through digital strategies
- Reports builds for departments - Marketing, Digital, Production (TRS & Style Arcade)
- Pricing analysis
- Boutique analysis
- Identify opportunities within product categories
- Accountability in seasonal planning, budgeting, and category management

**What are we seeking?**
- Qualification in fashion merchandise management, business, or related discipline
- Strong financial acumen with an overall ability to support and implement the business strategy focusing on sales targets.
- Proven experience in being accountable for season planning, budget and category management
- AP21 or similar retail solutions software experience
- Advanced level Excel understanding and use
