The Role
Are you passionate about driving value through strategic sourcing and supplier management? Toll Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven procurement professional to lead sourcing initiatives across key projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering sourcing plans, developing procurement budgets and achieving savings targets, and negotiating supplier arrangements that maximise value for Toll.
You’ll ensure all sourcing activities align with Toll’s governance and transparency standards, while managing supplier relationships to uphold commercial commitments and performance metrics. Your expertise will guide the rollout of supplier agreements across projects, and you’ll collaborate closely with our Data Analytics and Operational Excellence teams to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

This is a fixed term contract to March 2026 based in Melbourne.
As the Purchasing and Procurement Specialist you will:
- Lead vendor negotiations and support Make Good projects, including licensing and resourcing contracts, and assist the IT Separation Commercial Lead with supplier contract analysis for separation activities.
- Collaborate with Team Global Express to complete novation of less complex contracts and provide general administrative support as needed.
- Develop and manage transparent sourcing exercises, negotiate and execute supplier agreements, and ensure effective contract implementation.
- Deliver sourcing projects on time while achieving agreed savings and value targets.
- Coordinate supplier engagement across projects and contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing and spend management.
- Foster strong internal and external relationships to enhance communication, collaboration, and mutual understanding with project stakeholders and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
Qualification
- Undergraduate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline preferred (e.g. B. Bus)
- Professional membership of relevant associations (e.g. CIPS)
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and commercial management, with strong understanding of legal and contractual frameworks.
- Proven knowledge of supplier dynamics, leverage techniques, and the sales process, along with strong commercial negotiation skills.
- Skilled in documenting and presenting supplier selection options and recommendations.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to generate meaningful, data-driven reports.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen and alignment with corporate values, including the One Toll vision.
