We have an opportunity for an experienced Planner/Scheduler to join a National Engineering Company located in the heart of the CBD.

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for the developing and maintaining the detailed project schedule in accordance with Contract schedule, production and operational strategies, and objectives established by the Project Management Team.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Developing and maintaining the detailed project schedule in accordance with Contract schedule, production and operational strategies, and objectives established by the Project Management Team
- Providing technical expertise in the planning and scheduling of all activities within the project scope
- Assist with the estimation of labour resources, materials and plant and equipment to complete each task
- Use of activity lists and estimates to prepare fully resourced critical path schedules
- Development and implementation of work pack scopes of work
- Prepare manning and cost forecasts
- Liaise with authorised personnel to obtain formal approval of the schedules produced
- Comply with the company and client, Health Safety and Environment Plan
- Ensure quality standards are met by adhering to company and client procedures

**To be successful in this role;**
- 5 years' experience working as a Planner / Scheduler within mining
- Work effectively with team/work groups or those outside formal line of authority (eg. peers, senior managers) to accomplish organisational goals
- Preferably experience in brownfield SMPE&I work
- In-depth hands on understanding and experience in the use of Microsoft Project and P6
- Knowledge and expertise of planning practices, standards, systems and process relevant to the operations of the project
- Ability to generate solutions to work problems
- Display a level of technical skills/knowledge in job related areas and keep abreast of current developments and trends in the area of expertise
- Appropriate technical or trade qualifications
