We are seeking a meticulous and proactive **Bookkeeper** to manage our financial records and ensure smooth financial operations across both centres. The role is one day a week on Friday and requires discussion with administrative personnel to ensure smooth financial operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate financial records for both Scola Early Learning and The Children’s Garden.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis.

**Payroll Administration**:

- Process payroll for staff, ensuring compliance with employment laws and award rates.
- Track leave entitlements, overtime, and other employee benefits.

**Compliance and Reporting**:

- Prepare BAS, superannuation, and tax-related documentation in compliance with Australian regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial accuracy.
- Generate monthly financial reports for management review.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the administrative team and management to provide financial insights.
- Assist in preparing financial data for audits and other external reviews.

**General Duties**:

- Maintain financial software systems and ensure all transactions are accurately logged.
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and tax regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the childcare or education sector is an advantage.

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
- MYOB: 1 year (preferred)
- Xplor: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
