**Accountabilities include**: - Lead and participate in small projects to ensure online projects/initiatives are completed to a high quality, within budget and on-time using an appropriate project management methodology
- Manage the corporate internet and intranet, including the creation and review of well structured, styled content for online publishing while ensuring that it is technically correct, user-focussed and conforms to relevant policies, guidelines and standards
- Draft, review and provide advice regarding online communication material for the intranet and internet
- Collect, measure, analyse and report on web statistics/data to optimise the usage of websites and ensure they are meeting business objectives - Provide professional advice about the content management process, usability, user-centred design, information architecture and web related issues in the delivery of content products and services on the internet and intranet
- Comply and keep up to date with government and industry standards and best practice with regards to online publishing. This includes attending meetings, workshops and liaising with other staff across departments
- Provide operational support and training to departmental staff for content management systems (e.g. Sitecore and Lotus Notes databases), online publishing, multimedia tools, writing and editing - Critically analyse, recommend and implement improvements to existing and proposed online delivery mechanisms for the corporate internet and intranet
- Write, edit and publish social media content and online content for both internet and intranet
- Collaborate with business units and project teams to identify business requirements, objectives and operational procedures as relevant to the delivery of online content, services and information management (e.g. metadata)
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internet and intranet publishers to ensure their content is current, relevant and accurate
- Assist with the development of policies, standards and guidelines for online services and publishing, as well as contribute to the development and maintenance of whole-of-government policies and standards
- Monitor and respond to feedback, requests and suggestions relating to the internet and intranet
- Actively contribute to the team's goals and workloads by assisting the Principal Advisor with specific events, meetings and performance reporting.This position reports to the Principal Advisor (Online Communication).
