**About the branch**
The Strategic Planning, Finance and Performance Branch is responsible for all aspects of financial and corporate governance which includes strategic planning, performance, finance, procurement, and program management.

**About the role**
As the Manager of Procurement, Contracts and Travel, you are to oversee the delivery of procurement and travel functions for AUSTRAC. Working with a small team you will ensure value for money and compliance with relevant policy and legislation is achieved. You will analyse data and produce reports as required to meet our external reporting obligations and Executive briefings. The successful applicant will have a flexible attitude, a focus on business improvement and the ability to implement system upgrades and improvements. - Relevant experience in commonwealth procurement and knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Certificate IV in Government Procurement & Contracting is required.
- Flexible attitude and pragmatic approach in solving problems.

The key duties of the position include:

- Managing procurement function to ensure value for money and compliance with Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).
- Managing effective travel function and compliant with the Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) Travel Policies.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
- Delivering AUSTRAC's mandatory procurement reporting obligations.
- Providing accurate reports for external reporting and executive briefing.
- Advising on procurement and contract managements including the development of strategies, tender processes and contract negotiations.
- Supervision and development of procurement and travel staff.

The successful applicant will be required to satisfy AUSTRAC’s pre-engagement checks, obtain and maintain an ongoing security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security clearance.
