- Salary $113,022 - $124,884 plus 12% superannuation - VPS Grade 5.1
- Based in Ballarat, with hybrid working arrangements

**The opportunity**
- The Principal Investigator role will require you, as the most experienced member of a team, to independently undertake the most complex and sensitive investigation/audit activities in the Investigations Ballarat Branch in accordance with approved SRO compliance activities, and to mentor and provide guidance to less senior members of the team.
**Key responsibilities**
- Reporting to a Team Leader, you will be required to:
- Assist the team leader with managing and leading a large team of Investigators.
- Conduct sensitive and/or complex investigations and audits, individually or as part of a team, across multiple revenue lines and conducting sensitive and complex negotiations with customers to achieve outcomes consistent with SRO objectives.
- Conduct complex research and provide expert advice on complex state taxation matters as well as contributing to the planning of strategic compliance activities.
**Who we are looking for**
