This role will be charged with maintaining and continuously improving the controls and operational risk framework across the operations division.

Further to this the role will be required to co-ordinate some risk and compliance activities where the Operations division takes the lead. These include our GS007 Audit, Fraud Risk and Business Continuity Planning.

Lastly the role will be responsible for coordinating Incidents arising from our Operations division and rectification activity required by our Operations teams.

This role is based in our Sydney office, we work hybrid - 2 days in the office and 3 days from home._**

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the effective Design of Operational Controls to manage risk in line with the HUB24 Risk Appetite.
- Implement and embed approved policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective adaptation of controls, as projects are implemented and processes are changed.
- Manage operational risk through establishing and tracking key risk indicators.
- Completing targeted testing and preparation of reports outlining findings and improvement plans in areas of concern.
- Oversee attestations and evidence to support control delivery.
- Lead the risk and control identification and assessment across the business unit.
- Improve awareness across the organisation, working with the business to embed the operational risk management framework
- Provide relevant reporting of incidents, issues, actions, control assurance results to risk, compliance and governance committees.
- Act as Incident Manager for Operational caused incidents or for complex cross business incidents where you are specifically appointed to this role.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Minimum 2-year experience in an operational risk or internal controls function within the financial services sector.
- Knowledge of Compliance, Legal & Regulatory requirements within the wealth management industry is essential.
- Experience in IDPS and/or Superannuation products or platforms would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ideally holds tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or other relevant disciplines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage with management, business, and other support partners where warranted.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing demands and achieve objectives.
- Knowledge of AML, FATCA, CRS, QI, Outsourcing, Business Continuity and Fraud prevention highly desirable.
