**Disability Support Workers Needed for Behavioural and Complex Needs Client**

**Long shifts, overnight and day shifts. Must have availability to work some weekday mornings 6.30am to 11.30am shift.**

**What is a Support worker?**

A support worker is someone who looks after the well-being of people in their daily lives. If you are passionate about making a real difference in people's lives, then Affective Care is the team to join At Affective Care, our team of Support Workers strive to support people with disabilities to reach their goals. Specifically, our Support Workers support our participants with social, community and recreational participation, in-home support, personal care and hygiene and daily living activities.

**Responsibilities**
- **Managing difficult behaviours and following behaviour support plan strategies.**:

- Assisting participants with complex needs and grooming and assistance with household activities.
- Providing both physical and emotional support
- Provide care in accordance with their care plan and as directed, provide direct care assistance to participant
- Aid Client in accessing the community

**Qualifications**

Relevant diploma or certificate such as a Certificate III in individual support.

Working with vulnerable people check required.

Valid First aid and CPR certificate

**Experience**:

- working with difficult behaviours: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
