Vital Disability Group is a NDIS registered provider of specialist support services to participants living in the Greater Sydney and Illawarra regions respectively.

**About the role**

We are seeking an exceptional TEAM LEADER who is available across a 24hr/7days rotating roster, to assist in leading our dedicated supported-independent living (SIL) team located in South West Sydney.

The purpose of the Team Leader role is to provide leadership and guidance to the participants and their support team. Supervise, mentor, and assist with training the care team. Facilitate the smooth running of the SIL accommodation operations, ensuring that participant care is at the forefront of the service. Be a point of contact for the participant Stakeholders and support team.

**Team Leader Main Tasks**
- Oversee the day-to-day operations at the SIL home.
- Uphold and encourage a home-like environment for the participants.
- Manage and prepare team rosters and complete timesheet approvals.
- Actively implement participant Behaviour Support Plans to ensure participant health care needs are met and goals are achieved.
- Complete and follow up all reporting requirements to guarantee the company is compliant with NDIS Standards
- Work in partnership with the Participants Stakeholders to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the participants.
- Encourage and ensure a person-centered approach is embedded in the SIL home culture to maximise the participants independence. Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
- Participating in On-Call rotating roster which includes staff and stakeholder support outside of normal business hours, weekends, and overnights.
- Attend Management meetings and hold SIL home team meetings

**Required Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in a Team Leader position or similar role overseeing disability accommodation services and managing a team of staff.
- Experience working with participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

**Required Skills & Qualities**
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Ability to engage and maintain strong relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders

**Identification & Qualifications**
- 100 points of ID
- A current certificate to provide First-Aid - _completed within the last 3 years_
- A current certificate to provide CPR - _completed within the last 12 months_
- National Standard Police Clearance Check - _completed within the last 2 - 3 years._
- A current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) - _for paid, unsupervised role_
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC)
- NDIS New Worker Orientation Module Certifications
- A current unrestricted Australian drivers license
- Current Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Covid 19 Infection Control Training Certification
- A completed Certificate III/IV in Disabilities - _preferred but not essential_
- Minimum 12 months+ experience in supporting people living with cognitive, psychosocial disabilities _(required)_ - Leadership experience is highly regarded

This role is a Part Time position (24-30hrs per week) based out of the South West Sydney SIL Homes, however at times you will be required to attend Head Office in Warilla (Illawarra) for meetings and training. (Travel Paid)
