**About the role**

Reporting to the General Manager Health and Injury Management you will lead a team partnering with Ventia Sectors and external stakeholders to facilitate sustainable employee health outcomes and ensure compliance with workers compensation program and requirements.

This includes operational oversight, early intervention, case management, and overall strategy for workers compensation claims.

Ideally you will come from a health background or have worked for a self-insured business an insurer or an occupational rehab provider.

This position can be based from any of our office locations on the East Coast with flexible working options with time in the office and work from home.

**What you’ll be doing**
- To facilitate optimal workers compensation and injury management outcomes for employees.
- Leadership of the Health and Injury Management team, facilitating professional development.
- Liaise and act as the point of contact for general regulator queries.
- Provide specialist advice and consultation with sector leaders.
- Ongoing continue improvement and review of compliance and assurance activities.
- Monitor and manage claim trends, costs, outstanding liability and provisions to inform the development of targeted strategies for optimal outcomes.
- Develop effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders and in particular, site staff, shared services colleagues, and external service partners.
- Establish and maintain effective networks with internal and external stakeholders and regulators.

**About you**
- Demonstrated qualifications and or experience in Allied Health, HR, Industrial Relations, Safety, Business, or a similar relevant environment.
- Effective consulting and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated people leadership.
- Well development communication skills both written and verbal.
- Exposure to self-insured organisations and comcare.
- Significant consulting and relationship management skills within injury management, return to work, workers compensation claims management, fitness for work, health & risk management.
- Ability to work in a fast pace complex environment.
