This role is Darwin based and some national travel on a project-by-project basis. Applicants either need to live locally or be willing to relocate to Darwin NT.
Powertech are happy to discuss relocation costs from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
**Description**:
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Commissioning, testing, and maintaining**:
HV Protection systems / schemes, communications
HV Substations secondary systems and primary plant
HV/LV Plant/Assets
Power Generation Systems
Power Transformers.
Provide leadership, supervision, technical support and training to technicians.
Preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Experience, skills and qualifications**:

- Must hold Northern Territory Electrical License or Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree.
- Advanced Diploma in Power Systems (highly regarded).
- HV Switching Ticket preferred.
- Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably.
- Knowledge and understanding of appropriate Australian and International Standards, as well as relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing.
- Power Station experience (highly regarded).
