Role

As the Operational Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for leading our organisation through a significant evolution of its operational processes and systems. In this role, you play a critical part in shaping the future of our operational functions, optimising and automating processes across our operational teams. You will be working and leading change across our front office (Client Services) and back-office teams (Operations team) alongside a dedicated team of salesforce and software engineers.

Please note that we operate onsite working and would need someone to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategy Development: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define and communicate the vision, objectives, and strategic roadmap for the transformation of our operational functions, aligning with the company's financial and operational goals.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives by fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within CMC’s operational teams, ensuring that all stakeholders embrace and drive the transformation journey.
- Process Optimization: Identify and analyse areas for improvement across operational teams, streamline and/or automate processes, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance.
- Business Analyst: provide critical insights, data analysis and specifications on how to implement processes using Salesforce and APIs.
- Technology Integration: Leverage CMC’s existing cutting-edge technology solutions and implement new solutions to automate and optimize operational activities and customer outcomes with Salesforce, Amazon Web Services and Automation Anywhere.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and trading metrics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trading trends, and make informed decisions that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments, including risk management, compliance, technology, and finance, to align their operations with the transformation strategy, fostering a culture of collaboration and risk-awareness.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage potential risks associated with trading operations transformation initiatives, developing mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee the execution of operational transformation projects, defining project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Talent Development: Mentor a high-performing individuals within our operations teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure successful implementation and growth.
- Performance Measurement: Establish performance metrics and regularly report progress to senior leadership and stakeholders, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes and meet financial targets

Key skills & Experience
- Experience in process design and optimisation
- Experience in Salesforce Service Cloud (highly desirable)
- Experience in financial services operations, trading, or capital markets with a focus on transformation and process optimization.
- Change management expertise, including the ability to navigate resistance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, collaborate and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills with a successful track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within the financial services sector.
- Proficient in financial technology solutions and trading platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset, working collaboratively with others to break down complex problems.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to trading, clearing & settlement participants.
- Experience in Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Automation Anywhere.
- Experience developing and documenting use cases, process maps, business requirements and integration flows.
- Strive under uncertainty driving exploration to ensure the best results.
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
