Host/hostess

**Bay Vista Dessert Bar & Café** is looking for talented and passionate hosts who enjoy working in a professional and fast paced environment, have exceptional guest service skills and operate at a high standard. The role is for 2-3 days per week with flexibility where required. Working over Christmas and new year period is also a must so please ensure availability.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Greeting guests as they enter.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Seating guests at tables.
- Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Answering phone calls.
- A knowledge of the menu.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Providing great customer service.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
