Altona North, Australia Labourpower Trade Full time

Labourpower Trade are seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters for our client's sites in the Laverton & Altona areas. Our client specialises in packaging, this is a **brand new site** focusing on recycled plastic.

There are multiple roles on offer for Qualified Fitters with proven experience within manufacturing or a similar environment.

Morning & Afternoon shift availability.

**About you**

The successful applicant/s will be confident in their ability to prioritise their workload, Fault Find/Troubleshoot & ensure machinery is in a safe state when working on it, all while under production pressures.

You will have solid understanding of
- Safety control logic, with an understanding of Australian Safety Standards
- Extruders, Automated bulk bagging machines, conveyors & Optical sorting systems

**About the Role**

Working in a team & reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day troubleshooting & Maintenance of the facility.

You will be required to maintain equipment to enable maximum machine up-time, improve machinery to increase reliability & Demonstrate and demand a safe work culture.

**Your duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Troubleshooting / Fault Finding
- Site Services including Compressors, Chillers, Boilers
- Maintenance of Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems, Conveying and Optical Sorting Systems
- Assisting technicians / machine operators as required
- Daily meetings as required

**To be Successful, you will have**
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Proven & Strong knowledge of Troubleshooting & ability to prioritise workload
- Previous experience with stock control of relevant spare parts
