The Goulburn Base Hospital has recently been re-born by moving into its state of the art Clinical Services Building in December 2021. Goulburn now boasts a new state of the art Level 4 Emergency Department, a Level 4 ICU and new Operating Theatres.

**What you'll be doing**

Provide safe, effective surgical care to the patients of the Services provided within the Southern New South Wales Local Health District, under the supervision of specialist staff whilst undertaking learning and professional development activities.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Recent demonstrated surgical experience at commencement of post would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
- Demonstrated effective teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary clinical care team.
- Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self-education and teaching undergraduate and post-graduates.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
