Goulburn is a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, approximately 195 kilometres south-west of Sydney and 90 kilometres north-east of Canberra.

**What you'll be doing**
Visiting Dental Officers will provide clinical general dentistry care to eligible patients of the Oral Health Service in Southern Local Health District facilities, on a sessional fee basis.
The VDO will be expected to practise within their scope of practice. They will be employed as per the remuneration and service contract requirements prescribed in the Visiting Dental Officers - Remuneration and Contract Requirements Policy Directive PD2022-030 or latest version thereof )
**Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Registered or registrable by mutual recognition, as a Dentist, with the Dental Board of Australia Must currently hold and maintain current professional medical/dental indemnity insurance.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles.
- An understanding of current concepts in clinical practice including activity based and value-based care.
- Skills and commitment to work effectively in multi-disciplinary dental teams, with effective time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and patient safety activities relevant to dental practice. Demonstrated technical and professional competence as a Board registered dentist.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
