We have a part-time (30 hours per week) vacancy for a Wastewater Service Technician in Ferndale and surrounds with a Restricted Drainers Licence. Fernvale is 25 minutes’ drive from Ipswich and about an hour’s drive from Brisbane.

**THE ROLE**
- Flexible times with early starts - approx. 30 hours per week. Start at $32 per hour. Arrive at work, pick up ute and service 10 - 20 jobs per day.
- Service and repairs of wastewater treatment and sewerage plants.
- Adjusting the operation of pumps, valves and other equipment.
- Monitoring flow rates, chemical dosage and water quality indicators.
- Maintenance and repairs - cleaning lubricating, replacing parts.
- Troubleshooting - diagnosing mechanical, electrical or chemical problems and making adjustments.
- Sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and monitor the effectiveness of treatment processes.
- Maintain Health and Safety protocols.
- Emergency Response in the case of equipment failures, power outages and other emergencies to minimize the impact on the environment and public health.
