Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning over 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.

Parramatta Marist High School is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Year Coordinator to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.

Key focus areas

The Year Coordinator will fulfill the following criteria:

- Support and embody the goals and values of Catholic education as well as the strategic priorities of Parramatta Marist High School.
- Demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and a commitment to fostering student wellbeing, behavior, and attitudes in alignment with Catholic values.
- Cultivate a learning environment that prepares students for the demands of a global community and encourages positive student behavior and attitudes.
- Embrace and support the School’s pedagogical vision, including Project and Problem-Based Learning, as an integral part of the broader educational experience.
- Possess an extensive understanding of pedagogical principles, with insights into how students learn in an integrated way and what influences their learning opportunities.
- Show a deep commitment to differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs and ensure each student’s growth.
- Work creatively and collaboratively across various communities within and beyond the school, setting high but achievable goals for both themselves and their students.
- Motivate students to excel and inspire them toward a lifelong passion in their faith, learning and wellbeing.
- Establish and maintain positive partnerships with students, their families, and the wider community, collaborating closely with parents to support students’ wellbeing, behavior, and academic progress.

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
