**We are looking for someone who can**:

- Collect, manage, and analyse clinical data to support service monitoring, evaluation, and improvement in clinical quality outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide training and support to clinicians and staff on data systems and processes.
- Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with privacy standards, and drive continuous improvement in data management and reporting.

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.

**What you will be doing**

The Data Manager will provide expertise in data and clinical quality registries, including the Pain clinical quality registry, collaborating with ACI networks, the Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts (LHDs), Specialty Health Networks (SHNs), hospitals, and clinicians to drive clinical quality outcomes. Their primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate clinical data registration, developing and maintaining data registries, user guides, and data dictionaries, and supporting data governance, security, and compliance.

Additionally, the Data Manager will perform data pre-processing, identify anomalies, and support clinical decision making by responding to queries at local and state-wide levels. They will also conduct advanced analyses, generate reports, and offer data expertise to support innovations and research in healthcare.

Located at the ACI offices in St Leonards, the Data Manager will occasionally travel across NSW, including rural and metropolitan areas, for site visits, with occasional overnight stays.

**Remuneration**: $127,150 - $144,444 pro rata per annum excluding Superannuation

**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience working with health data, including clinical and outcome data.
- Demonstrated proficient skills to co-design surveys, registries or databases with stakeholders (including clinicians), and demonstrated understanding of data management and governance principles and methods as they relate to health records, to ensure data quality, security and compliance
- Completion of health projects requiring data cleaning and validation, and advanced analytical methods such as statistical modelling.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders (including clinicians), such as presenting complex analytical concepts and results, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to access or provide data, support new approaches to data analysis and reporting, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
