**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Surgical Services**team as a** Orthopaedic Surgery Medical Consultant,**where you will be responsible for:

- Providing effective and efficient medical services within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
- Delivering medical care to public and private inpatients and outpatients
- Developing education and research portfolios within the department
- Encouraging and supporting teamwork among staff for optimal clinical outcomes
- Focusing on General Paediatric Orthopaedic (non-Spinal) conditions

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Health Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2017 (or its successor)
- Extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.
- Skill in problem solving and decision making at an organisational and individual level
- Experience with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs
- Knowledge of administrative policies and practices of a large public hospital
