**The Role**:
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, this is a hands-on role, with a high priority on leading by example, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Volume Dampers Department. The role requires a high degree of OH&S awareness, excellent communication skills, and good product knowledge.

**The position requirements include but are not limited to**:

- Manage department staff (on safe use of all equipment, attendance & break times)
- Assign tasks, provide direction & encouragement to meet production requirements
- Continuous improvement, QA and stocktake tasks
- Work closely with other departments and attend meetings as required
- Strictly following all required safety and security procedures

**To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following**:

- Proven experience in a leadership role in an industrial environment
- Proven experience with turret punches, brake presses and assembly using general hand & power tools
- An understanding of GMP and 5S manufacturing principles
- A team player with a positive, self motivated and proactive attitude is essential
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a high attention to details
- Flexibility to work extra hours and perform ad hoc duties as required

**Hours**
Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

**On Offer**
$70k per year + super + overtime
