**About You**:

**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Head of Internal Audit within the Finance Division.
NALHN has a high performing Finance, Audit and Risk team and working in this team will expose you to contemporary internal audit and risk practices. Internal Audit at NALHN is not only about compliance and has undertaken efficiency and quality audits that have been well received by Executive and Management. Also, NALHN is serious about the implementation of audit recommendations and has a sophisticated follow up system ensuring that Internal Audit makes a difference.
The Head of Internal Audit is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer for the planning, execution and delivery of internal audits for NALHN. This includes:
- Formulating and implementing the network’s internal audit frameworks, plans and procedures that impact on whole of Network operations;
- Providing expert advice, consultancy and recommendations on internal audit and assurance matters to executives, divisions and services within the NALHN;
- Conducting independent assurance and consultative reviews of critical business processes and service lines in accordance with professional standards;
- Providing advice on risk, controls and governance; and
- Leading, managing, supporting, building and enhancing the assurance capabilities within the NALHN.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, Economics or other related discipline.
