At Transgrid, we play a crucial role in connecting electricity generators to the distribution network that power homes and businesses - we operate over 13,000km of high voltage transmission wires and 110 substations in NSW and the ACT.
**The Opportunity**
As a **Transmission Lines Technician / Linesperson** based at Eastern Creek, Sydney, you will be accountable for inspection, maintenance, repairs and construction of transmission line assets across Transgrid’s transmission network. You will be required to perform a variety of tasks to ensure we meet customer expectations.
At times, you will provide support in mentoring of apprentices and junior technicians, providing performance feedback for their growth. It is expected that you ensure the safe delivery of work and comply with relevant policy and procedures.
**About You**
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Transmission and/or Distribution Overhead
- Transmission and/or Distribution line trade experience with the ability to interpret and analyse schematics
- Flexibility to support on call/ afterhours requests and respond to system incidents (as and when required)
- Understanding of the inspection, maintenance and construction requirements associated with transmission line infrastructure
- A current Australian Driver’s License
