**_BI & Analytics Specialist_**_ _**| 12 Months Contract | Queensland Government |**

Commencement Date : 12 months initial contract term (with possible extension)
Location **:Brisbane CBD. (C**andidate Must Reside In Brisbane, this role requires to be in the office min 3 days per week)**

**Your Contribution**:

- Document, build, test, and implement stable datasets in SQL (10 domains so far). These will be implemented by ICT into the Warehouse to establish the foundation of “Self-Serve Reporting”
- Document, design, build and implement web-based data entry systems that write to SQL databases for:

- Estimate Update predictions
- Budgeting Control (including re-allocation register)
- Allowable Time Limit register (including NEMA approvals)
- Extension of Time Portal.
- Document, build, test, and implement a Risk Management tool.
- Document, build, test, and implement additional BAU requests as new demand arises.
- his role works closely with the Senior Analytics and Business Intelligence Lead, reports to the Manager and has no direct reports.

**Qualifications/Professional Registration**

**Technology**
- Expert in SQL
- Expert in Web development and implementation
- Expert in Computer Languages such as.NET, Java, C#, and SQL
- Advanced experience in MS Excel and MS Office 365 suite
- Intermediate experience in Azure Cloud Solutions
- Intermediate experience in DAX and document control solutions.

**Database**
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, understand and process data from complex structures and multiple sources to achieve desired reporting objectives (e.g. intelligent dashboards)
- Ability to understand complex data structures and provide efficient and effective continuous improvement solutions.
- Ability to develop, test, reconcile, debug and document SQL queries that will later become views or tables.
- Develop relevant documentation such as design, schema, and version control.
- Ability to write ETL, Stored Procedure, Temporary table and other SQL related artifacts for ICT handover and implementation.

**Web Development**
- Demonstrated experience in front-end coding.
- Build workflows, user forms, buttons, and direct SQL interactions.
- Proven version control management for tracking code changes and release timeframes.
- Develop proof-of-concepts to validate solution viability in line with business information technology architecture and governance.
- Ability to manage priorities and back-log in dynamic operational environment while keeping key stakeholders well-informed of progress.
- Demonstrated design skills to suit differing platforms and device viewing such as mobile, iPad and PC resolutions/canvas size.
- Demonstrated experience in optimising code to achieve less overhead system demand.
- Ability to create test cases, document created functionality, and implementation documentation ready for ICT handover in the event ICT wants to inherit.
- Ability to debug and correct code issues. and Problem solving strategies to overcome difficult requirements.
- Full stack development experience with exposure to language such as.NET, Java, PHP and Python.
