The Gordon is on a pursuit for suitably qualified professionals from the horticulture industry who are looking to mentor and educate the next generation of horticulture professionals into the industry.

We are excited to offer an experienced industry trainer to join our dynamic team of Horticulture teachers, to support our students who have chosen a career in horticulture achieve their educational goals. This will foster successful career outcomes, where the best professionals are offered to local industry.

**Qualifications and industry experience**:
In order for us to deliver exceptional courses that will foster the future of the industry, we require the appointment of Teachers who have demonstrated competency in the following:

- Certificate II in Horticulture
- Certificate III in Horticulture
- Certificate IV in Horticulture _(in high demand)_
- Diploma of Horticulture _(in high demand)_

We are seeking those who demonstrate industry and commercial experience in the following:

- Parks, gardens, production and retail nursery
- Soft landscaping, grounds management
- Arboriculture

Coupled with knowledge in:

- Plant culture and establishment, garden maintenance and design,
- Propagation, soils and media
- Pest, disease, and chemical management
- Work Health & Safety

Our successful Teachers will have acquired several years of demonstrated success within the industry - minimum five (5) years.

As a TAFE Teacher, you will have acquired a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, or equivalent).

If you have not completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, that is okay, we would like the opportunity to discuss options to get you in as a future Teacher.

**Remuneration**:
Casual opportunities: $82.01 - $88.60 per hour plus Superannuation - based on teaching qualifications
