Our federal government client is actively seeking an APS6/EL1 Program Management Support Officer.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting the design and procurement processes to advance the establishment of the Cable Centre and its operational activities.
- Facilitating effective relationship management with the Lead Contractor post-selection.
- Establishing and maintaining efficient contract management procedures, while monitoring and tracking contract milestones and budgetary constraints.
- Overseeing program risks and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements through diligent monitoring and evaluation.
- Coordinating internal and inter-agency advisory meetings and consultations.
- Providing input into reporting and briefing processes.
- Fostering a positive team culture characterized by collaborative work dynamics and a shared sense of purpose. This includes capacity-building within the team through coaching and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated expertise in a domain relevant to the department's objectives, coupled with an understanding of global affairs.
- Proven experience in program management, including proficiency in procurement, contract, and risk management processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Effective task prioritization and autonomous work management skills, with the ability to escalate pertinent issues as needed.
- A commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusivity.

While prior experience in infrastructure, telecommunications, or undersea cables is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
