**About the School**:
Redbank State School is a small school located in Ipswich, in the Metropolitan South region. It is an established school of around 140 students.

**Role**:Responsibilities include**:

- Cleaning windows, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains and other surfaces
- Vacuuming classrooms/offices
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays
- Disposing of rubbish and litter control, removal of material from drains and gutters between surrounding buildings
- Cobweb and mildew control
- Leaf blowing concrete, bitumen and other surfaces
- Other appropriate duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager
- Security:

- Activating and disarming school security systems as required
- Locking and unlocking buildings.

**The successful applicant should have**:

- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in school cleaning will be strongly considered
- Demonstrated capacity to work well independently
- Demonstrated awareness of WHS obligations with regards to working with cleaning equipment and products.
