**Your responsibilities will include**:
**Overview**
As a Mission Planning Support Officer, you will provide critical mission support services and execute mission planning tasks, ensuring seamless flying operations. This role involves direct support to flying operations, including night shifts, and accompanying the squadron on domestic and international deployments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Generate mission data loads and post-flight debriefs.
- Offer air vehicle support as required.
- Assist and manage the loading of cryptographic material onto Off-board Mission Support (OMS) workstations.
- Ensure all OMS/JMPS settings meet the 81WG's standards.
- Carry out mission planning and related tasks as directed by the Flight Lead, SQN Fighter Combat Instructor (FCI), 81WG WEAPO, or Chief Mission Support.
- Attend and actively participate in mission briefings and debriefings as required.
**About you**:
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent experience in Defence, Systems and or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in military aircraft mission planning systems.
- Familiarity with the military aviation operating environment, particularly intelligence support to fighter operations.
- Experience in the aviation operating environment.
- Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, electro-optical targeting, and fire control systems.
This role reports directly to the Flight Lead, SQN Fighter Combat Instructor (FCI), 81WG WEAPO, or Chief Mission Support, providing essential support to ensure mission success.
**Special Requirements**:
- Applicants are required to hold & maintain CoA NV2 security clearance with eligibility to obtain CoA PV.
