Tasks include:

- Assisting the audit partner with planning & setting materiality levels for the audits.
- Auditing financial statements including the notes to the financial statements prepared by the client.
- Assessing the regulatory framework applicable to the entity and designing audit processes to comply with same.
- Obtaining external confirmation (to verify asset & liability balances), reviewing clients financial source documents, and vouching same to accounting journal entries posted on accounting software.
- Identifying irregularities & internal deficiencies in relation to the entitys record keeping requirements & operations during the audit process.
- Communicating the audit findings to clients and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the completion of tax schedules and packages as required.
- Liaising with different stakeholders within the clients business & assist with implementing any suggested process improvements.

- Prepare financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Skill level required:

- Minimum masters degree in accounting/finance or related discipline
- 3+ Years experience as an auditor is mandatory.
- High attention to detail, Strong organisation, time management, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience working with Xero and Online SMSF Audit
- Able to perform under tight reporting timeframes.
- Good team player
