ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our client is currently looking for Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO) to provide cyber security support and maintain onsite ICT system within the Defence industry. You will play a vital role in contributing to the protection of information on the durability of Defence systems. You will be reporting to the Group Lead of ICT Systems and Cyber Security.

We are supporting the recruitment effort of a highly advanced technology company. They contribute to the innovation of digital immersion for training. They continue to enhance the customer experience and modernisation of education and operational support solutions in the defence industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Linux security administration and account management.
- Perform vulnerability risk assessment and regular vulnerability scans of Defence systems.
- Assist in maintaining and improving security strength.
- Perform secure data control operations.
- Provide security advice to projects and engineering changes relating to simulations.
- Provide documentation to assist in the planning and enhancement of the IT infrastructure.
- Provide ICT security briefings.
- Conduct sanitisation of computer hardware and network devices in accordance with ISM requirements.

SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
- 3-5 years' experience or relevant qualification in at least one of the following domains: Asset Security, Communication and Network Security, Identify and Access Management, Security and Risk Management, Security Operations and Security Engineering.
- 3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of UNIX based Operating System (AIX, Linux etc.) and patch management (Windows, Linux & VMware).
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices, and protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
