**About the Role**:
**Functional Responsibilities**:
- Manage SQL Server databases across multiple lifecycle environments.
- Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high levels of availability and security.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time.
- Develop and automate processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Provide support for critical production systems and scheduled tasks.
- Mentor team members and share technical expertise.
- Lead resolution of data/database issues between multiple vendors.
**Functional Capabilities**:
- Proficient in MS SQL Server Administration.
- Possesses business acumen to align systems with strategic business objectives.
- Effectively prioritises, plans, and organises tasks amidst multiple demands.
- Collaborates well within a team, offering problem-solving skills and taking initiative.
- Capable of independent work while also fostering collaboration.
- Adaptable to change and resilient in the face of challenges.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (or working towards this qualification).
- Significant experience in MS SQL Server Administration.
- Proficiency in Export/Import data to and from SQL Server across multiple destinations/formats.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and PowerBI, as well as writing Transact-SQL Stored Procedures.
- Familiarity with Performance Tuning and Optimisation (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory.
