Are you passionate about education and first aid? Do you have a knack for inspiring and engaging students? Swinburne University is looking for a dedicated and innovative First Aid Teacher and Coordinator to join our Vocational Education and Training (VET) team.
As a First Aid Teacher and Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and assessing high-quality education and training programs in first aid. Your role will involve:
- Teaching & Assessment: Implementing industry best practices and innovative learning methodologies to ensure student engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Coordination: Managing first aid facilitators, ensuring resources and equipment are available, and maintaining compliance with educational standards.
- Student Support: Providing educational advice, implementing individual learning plans, and referring students to appropriate support services.
- Continuous Improvement: Participating in professional development activities and contributing to program evaluation and improvement.
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs.
- Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients. Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, audit processes and the maintenance of high-quality training and assessment materials.
- Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Vocational Education and Training policies and frameworks.
**Qualifications**
- First aid qualifications HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011, HTLAID012, HLTAID014
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
OR
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
OR
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units:
- TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
- TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
AND
- TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, OR
- TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools OR
- TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools
OR
- Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education
- AQF5 level (or above) qualification in Education (Preferable)
