We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Burmese-Speaking Support Worker to join our team at Burmese Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, who are primarily from the Burmese community. Your role will involve assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being and comfort.

**Key Responsibilities**

Providing care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans, including:

- Personal tasks
- Domestic assistance
- Respite
- Social support
- Transport
- Meal preparation
- Group participation
- Life skills development

**Responsibilities of All Staff**
- Respecting the rights of participants to make their own decisions
- Treating all participants with respect and dignity
- Maintaining a participant’s privacy
- Maintaining safe work practices
- Reporting to management any unsafe equipment, practices and environments
- Attending mandatory training sessions
- Completing the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Complete the mandatory Federal Government’s COVID-19 online training
- Providing and maintaining all relevant state clearance checks against current NDIS worker screening requirements
- Following the NDIS Code of Conduct requirements
- Referring to Burmese Care policies and procedures, as required
- Performing duties with a consistently high standard of care and professionalism
- Wearing a full uniform and identification tag, when on duty (if provided)
- Recording and documenting participant information, as required

**Speak at least one of the following languages**:

- Burmese and English

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
- NDIS Worker Screening Card - Current WWCC, Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certificate
- Driver’s License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smart phone

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $32.47 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
