Garden & Maintenance Supervisor

**Introduction**:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Village Handyperson and Maintenance staff member to join our team at Sanctuary Cove. As the Village Handyperson and Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks in our village across our community including retail, office and Marina and Recreation Club. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and appearance of the village facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting, to keep the village facilities in excellent condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and common areas to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff in a timely manner,and resolve issues efficiently.
- Carry out routine repairs and maintenance tasks, including fixing broken fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and repairing appliances.
- Assist with landscaping duties, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and maintaining gardens.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and report any deficiencies or needs for restocking.
- Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs or maintenance work is required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and provide reports as necessary.
- Support other staff members and contribute to the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the village.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with them.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work independently or as part of a team.
