**Head Barista - Supervisor** **(Full Time, mainly Monday - Friday, Open & AM shifts)** - **Full Time**: - **Opportunity for career progression**: - **Pays to Award with penalties**: - **Staff meals, travel allowance and airline industry benefits** **About the role** We are currently seeking an exceptional Head Barista - Supervisor with a professional manner to work within the Virgin Australia Lounge at the Brisbane Domestic Airport. We require someone who is guest orientated, friendly, attentive, reliable, hard-working and has a "can do" attitude to WOW our clients in the fast-paced environment of airports. As the Head Barista, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the coffee offering and barista area of the Virgin Lounge including processes, and supervision of the barista team. In this role you will have support from the shift supervisors and manager. It will be the Head Barista's job to ensure quality and consistency of coffees and ensure staff are up to speed on training, delivering the best service possible to customers, and to ensure the barista team are also assisting in other areas of the Lounge at key times. - Key Responsibilities_ - Greeting customers and delivering excellent customer service. - Preparing coffees and other beverages to a high standard of taste and quality. - Making recommendations to customers and answering any questions. - Coordinate orders for other baristas and ensure a smooth customer experience. - Delegate breaks and daily duties to team - Manage stock and coffee supplies to the barista area, including ordering and invoicing and stock rotation - Maintain and clean coffee machines and grinders. Organise service changes where needed. - Train and set standard for barista team. - Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards. - As part of the leadership team, you will be instrumental to the success and future growth of the Lounge. **In order to hit the ground running, you will have**: - Previous extensive barista experience - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Impeccable presentation and grooming - Knowledge of OH&S & hygiene - Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate - Your own transportation is essential - we do provide parking - Flexible availability to work early shifts from 3:00am, with afternoon shifts ending up to midnight on occasion - across 7 days of the week **Benefits and Culture** - Supportive and inclusive culture - A professional and safe working environment - Good employee benefits and entitlements.
