Learning Support Officer

**Role Description/Criteria**
Key Role
- work closely with the classroom teacher in implementing Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) for students
- to support the classroom teacher in daily administrative tasks e.g. preparing learning and teaching materials and resources
- to support the children in the classroom to successfully complete learning activities during the day
- to provide basic physical, social and emotional care for students.
Commitment to Catholic Education
- a demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.
Pastoral Care and Child Safety
- be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
- assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for students
- demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing
- be aware of and comply with the Work Health & Safety policies and practices of the school.
The position is due to commence during Term 4, 2024, continuing throughout the 2025 school year and requires a 5 day per week commitment from 8.30am - 3.05pm with an annual salary of approximately $45,000 in accordance with CEMEA 2022. All applicants must hold a current working with children check for employment purposes.
