The Position:
Arch Insurance is currently looking for a Northern Region Underwriting Manager
- Executive Assurance, to join our team in Sydney. You will work closely with the National Underwriting Manager, Executive Assurance (EA) and EA underwriting team. Your focus will be executing the Companies EA strategy in NSW and Queensland. This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the National Underwriting Manager, Executive Assurance based in Melbourne.

Job Responsibilities:

- Underwriting new and renewal EA businesses.
- Achieving planned underwriting results and identifying requirements to meet business needs in the Northern Region (NSW and QLD).
- Working with the National Underwriting Manager on building and executing the Northern Region growth strategy.
- Managing, underwriting and servicing risks within the region, according with guidance and service standards.
- Performing product development and marketing activities to optimize best solutions for distribution.
- Monitoring and reporting claims activity within the portfolio.
- Leading and managing the Northern Region team as required.

Required Skills/Experience:

- Strong knowledge and existing broker/ client relationships.
- Experience managing a team or demonstrated ability to operate in a leadership position.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation skills, time management and ability to prioritise.
- Accountability and willingness to grow with the business
- Flexibility, ability to multitask and delivery of initiatives in short timeframes.

Desired Skills/Experience:

- Minimum 5-10 years of work experience in ANZ region, in Directors and Officers insurance markets.
- Tertiary degree I finance, commerce, law, accounting or similar.
- Professional certifications within the insurance industry - preferred but not essential.
