Where the team fits in
- The Advertising and Value team looks after all the Advertising and associated Value delivery across 4 key markets. 1) Residential - helping people sell or rent out homes, 2) Commercial - helping people buy, sell, rent, lease or find a commercial agent, 3) Developer - helping our Developer customers (builders, apartment and house and land developers) connect with our highly engaged audience and 4) Media - helping non property customers connect with our audience. We are approximately 130 people and are spread across Product, Design and Technology. This role will focus on the Commercial and Media portfolios.
What the role is all about
- In this hands-on role, you'll lead a team of Product Designers focused on creating exceptional user experiences. You'll be responsible for developing intuitive, user-friendly products that support customers on their property journey. Your role involves crafting and visually bringing to life the vision for your portfolio, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. You'll be directly involved in design projects, roadmap planning, critiquing designs, facilitating workshops, and managing stakeholders.- Work closely with the Head of Design, Product, and Engineering to develop and execute product area strategies for your portfolio Create and visually communicate the experience vision for your portfolio, aligning with REA’s overall strategy- Use your understanding of business opportunities, user needs, and technical constraints to design competitive products that delight users and grow the business- Plan and prioritise design activities with a lean mindset to deliver effective solutions- Enhance processes and practices for greater efficiency, championing our Playbook and Federated Design frameworks- Track and refine product performance over time using analytics and user feedback- Build strong partnerships across the organisation, influencing and working with stakeholders from adjacent portfolios and lines of business
Who we’re looking for- Extensive experience in product design (5+ years) with strong skills in Figma and other industry-standard tools, plus 2+ years in team leadership and mentoring- A solutions-focused approach to tricky challenges- A proven ability to craft and convey a compelling visual and strategic vision for your portfolio- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, getting things done efficiently
