**About the role**
Join WesTrac as a Field Service Line Borer
As part of our team, you will join a safe, high-performing group with a great culture. You will enjoy job security in a permanent full-time role, working with a fleet of BRAND-NEW line boring vehicles equipped with industry-leading equipment. Additionally, you will engage in high-volume, workshop-based line boring operations at WesTrac sites.
As a Field Service Line Borer, you’ll support our internal workshops and external customers in problem-solving to craft precision parts using onsite machining techniques.
- Operating line boring equipment and ID welders (Hoffman and Triangle).
- Interpreting engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Utilising computer literacy skills.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Striving for customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the workshop manager and other tradespeople to enhance quality and efficiency.
**Roster and Remuneration**
- Monday-Friday (48-hour week + rotating days/nights)
- Roster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2
- Monday to Thursday 10.5-hour shifts, Friday 8.5-hour shifts
- Hourly rates UP TO $55.87 + OT $83.81 + SUPER
**About You**
- **Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade with post-trade experience in line boring.**:
- MR Driver’s License (desirable) or the ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment (highly regarded).
- Ability to maintain high standards of work with mínimal supervision.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work within set time frames.
- A positive “can-do” attitude with the initiative to problem-solve on the job.
