The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Facilities and Services Supervisor to provide a critical role within Corrections and Justice Services.

About the business unit
Tarrengower is a minimum security prison accommodating up to 72 female offenders and is situated 2 kms from Maldon in Central Victoria. Tarrengower's emphasis is on release preparation and community reintegration through the provisions of programs within a rehabilitative environment. Tarrengower emphasises the principles of a healthy prison where children can be accommodated with their mothers ensuring the family unit is maintained and developed. About the role

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Plan and co-ordinate a range of refurbishment and other projects, including researching and supervising the interface between project implementation including all funding and procurement activities, scope of work activities and asset management processes.
- Supervise a small team in the quality delivery of Refurbishment and Maintenance Projects, planning and prioritising the team's workload and supporting their ongoing training and development.
- Ensure the safety and security of prisoners, staff and visitors is maintained at all times during the projects, including management of all maintenance regarding the integrity of both external and internal security of the location, appropriate level of surveillance and interaction within the location and monitoring staff for compliance with security and safety procedures.

About you

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Experience in facility and asset management essential.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a multi-disciplinary business support/ administration team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations
- A good understanding of the Prison environment and maintenance and procurement processes.

A current full Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.
Relevant qualifications/experience in project management or related field is desired.
