To influence or alter the perception, awareness, understanding and habits of optometrists and optical dispensers via specific communication, training, programs and tools to ensure the professional practice environment is linked to EssilorLuxottica’s wholesale strategic direction and optimised for the sale of our lens products and services.

- Overcoming entrenched beliefs, myths and work-arounds inherent in the industry
- Moving all practice stakeholders to “best practice’ methods and techniques
- Constant flow of optical staff in and out of practices

Outcomes
- Enhanced level of optical and product knowledge, skills and delivery ensuring good patient outcomes when clients use our products and services
- Increased demand for and use of our Leonardo platform
- Indirect / direct link to sales growth and product demand

C. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

- Reporting to the Medical and Professional Relations Director for ANZ To define, develop and execute communication, education and training programs to ensure practitioners understand and can use EssilorLuxottica lens products across our client base. Set the objectives, schedule and deliverables for the year ahead
- Product Communication, Education and Training Work with the Product Manager and relevant Product specialists, Sales and Account Managers, to identify targets and set the timetable for the delivery of existing programs and to identify requirements for future programs to ensure that our key accounts will be successful with our product portfolio. Leonardo will be a key tool to drive programs when possible
- Integration of equipment and / or devices into the practice flow When required they will work with the instruments team, so devices, that are tied to the successful use of our lens products, will be fully integrated into the flow of the client’s practice, this will require whatever support necessary to ensure this is successful
- Enhance the skills and delivery of Sales and Account Managers As our key, client facing team, ensure the relevant Sales and Account Managers have all the knowledge and tools to confidently identify, present, implement and troubleshoot the product portfolio matched to the client’s individual practice needs. Work with and build the ability of specific Account Managers to deliver group and individual training to increase the reach of programs and to provide assistance in training our Customer Service teams
- Build the EssilorLuxottica relationship with students at universities and colleges Optometry students today are trained in the medical model of optometry and need to be engaged, informed and supported with knowledge around the medical, physical and practical benefits of modern lenses in order to provide an holistic approach to patient care. The Vision Care Consultant will work with the optometry schools and colleges to bring this information to students using all programs and means possible - Leonardo, webinars, clinical instruction etc.
