Production Technician

**About the Opportunity**

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Technician to safely, effectively, and efficiently operate production plant and equipment to achieve production performance targets for our operation based in Regency Park, SA

More Specifically you will:

- Actively demonstrate the Detmold Group Values and defined health, safety, and welfare practices and service quality standards
- Prevent illness and injury, and care for your health and wellbeing and that of your co-workers by following all work instructions/ standard operating procedures
- Identify, report and where possible solve all hazards and incidents i.e. _See it, Say it, Solve it_
- Set-up and operate equipment to specification to achieve operating efficiencies and meet production targets
- Participate in continuous improvement activity by using Operator Feedback Systems (OFS) and working with co-workers to identify improvement opportunities and actions to address quality concerns
- Identify and take action to reduce waste
- Conduct quality checks on products in line with the technical standards to ensure quality specifications are achieved
- Perform machine and general cleaning duties to ensure high housekeeping standards
- Minimise production downtime by problem solving machine challenges and performing first response equipment fault resolution
- Performing basic preventative maintenance on plant and equipment that could include but is not limited to grease and oil of equipment in line with lubrication charts
- Participate in training and/ or train other Production Technicians regarding plant and equipment work instructions/ standard operating procedures
- Complete all required reporting including but limited to quality, productivity, engineering, and waste target performance
- Work efficiently as a member of a customer-focused team

**About You**
- Certificate III Bag & Sack Making or equivalent desirable
- Experience working in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment
- A safety-first mindset with ability to demonstrate safe behaviours in the workplace
- Ability to work with integrity, display initiative and be a reliable team player
- A positive attitude with ability to adapt to change and willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail and a customer focused mindset
