Catering Assistant

**About the Role**

In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional food service to patients and customers. You will:

- Prepare and serve meals and beverages in line with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation under the direction of our cooks and chef.
- Deliver and collect menus, food trays, and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness within the department in accordance with the Food Safety Plan and HACCP standards.
- Support the catering team with stock management and daily operations.
- Work across a rotating **7-day roster**, including morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.

You will report to the **Catering Manager** and work alongside a supportive, dedicated team.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and energetic team player with a strong focus on customer service. You will also bring:

- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
- Experience in a hospital or commercial kitchen setting (highly regarded but not essential).
- Certificate II or III in Hospitality (desirable).
- Barista or café service experience (preferred).

**Highly desirable**: Previous experience in a hospital catering team.
